Israel just murdered one of my closest friends, Dr. Khalil Bakheet. Khalil went through numerous hardships to become a physician. His family put everything they had into his education. He went to study in Sudan’s countryside, lived through the revolution, coup & civil war to graduate. Returned to Gaza & refused to leave to serve his duty & save lives.

Ok, we are legit witnessing the greatest geopolitical Streisand effect of my lifetime.

I’m seeing dozens of posts on X with massive engagement (10s of thousands of likes and millions of views) praising China and lambasting U.S. anti-China propaganda. I assume this is the same on other social media platforms. It’s likely the greatest soft power win China has ever scored by a huge margin.

And the funniest thing is China literally did nothing for it: it’s entirely organic or, more accurately, triggered by the US government.

Will it be sustained? Are we witnessing a turning point where Americans will durably refuse to get brainwashed and gaslighted about China? Let’s see… But one thing is sure, especially when you couple this with the vibe shift of younger Americans around Israel, we’re entering a new age where U.S. propaganda – once so good that most people didn’t even realize its existence – is increasingly ineffective.
