I think there is something important to take note of with scenes like these. Scenes like these that have flooded out of Gaza since October 7th at the hands of Israel.
We all remember, all of us across the world the black and white photos, footage from WW2. The horrors of the genocide. It has been presented to us as the most horrific event in modern human history that was recorded visually for us to have forever.
Movies, TV, books, video games teachers, academics and scholars the world over for decades made sure we were reminded so these events would never happen again. And us, we all ask, “How could such an event happen, so known, so widely known and still allowed, how did people justify this, who would justify this?”
Well, here we are, 2024, right now, with the power of information available to us we’ve never had, and it’s happening. Once again people see it, and they justify it, they even defend the acts and defend the ones commiting it. It is a lesson of us, that we THINK we are progressive, beyond barbaric ways, we PRESENT ourselves this way. In truth, we are worse, because we have the past to learn from, and we don’t.

Paramedics and rescue teams are still recovering the remains of victims from the bombardment that targeted displaced Palestinians while they were praying at Al-Tabi’in School in northern Gaza, hours after the massacre by the Israeli occupation.
According to Gaza Civil Defense and witnesses, three missiles were dropped on the school this morning, targeting Palestinians while they were praying. The bombardment killed at least 100 and wounded dozens in the surrounding areas.
